CITY COUNCIL VOTE ON PATTERSON PARK DEVELOPMENT

City Council will take its final vote on the Patterson Park project at its meeting tomorrow - Wednesday, March 27 - at 7:30 p.m. at Showers City Hall.  Please come to express your concerns or endorsement of this project.  If you cannot make the meeting, please send your feedback to city council ASAP at cou...@bloomington.in.gov.  We may still have the ability to make changes with our input.  You can find more details about the project in the "Featured Issues" area of our PHNA home page: http://www.prospecthillneighborhood.org/.

PHNA MEETING - MONDAY, APRIL 1

Our next monthly neighborhood association meeting is Monday, April 1 at 6:30 p.m. at Thrive!, 412 W. Fourth Street.  We look forward to seeing you there!

NEIGHBORHOOD CLEAN-UP GRANT!

One of our PHNA meeting agenda items will be to discuss the neighborhood clean-up grant which we have been awarded, thanks to the hard work of Sandy Washburn,  The clean-up date will be Saturday, May 18 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and more volunteers are needed.  Come to the meeting to hear more details and help us brainstorm about the best ways to make use of this grant.

WASTE TRANSFER STATION - CONTACT UPDATE

We have already sent out mailing information (and draft letters) so that you can contact IDEM with your concerns about the proposed waste transfer station at the JB Salvage location on Vernal Pike (just west of the NWS and the B-Line trail terminus).  One of our neighbors has also located an email address so you can send your letter to John Hale, a member of the Waste Permit staff at IDEM (Indiana Dept. of Environmental Mgmt.), via email: jh...@idem.in.gov.  The reference number for the permit in question is 53-08.  The site is referenced as Vernal Pike Transfer Station in Monroe County.

HOUSE FOR RENT

I have a house for rent that will be available in August.  It's a 1-bedroom house on Fairview Street between Sixth and Seventh.  The street looks like an alley in this block, so it's barely used and thus a very quiet location.  Wood and tile floors, central air, washer and dryer, small fenced-in yard, small pets OK, no smoking.  No more than 2 people may live there.  Charming house!  Please contact me at mckinney...@att.net or at 336-1110 if you're interested.  Thank you.
