Howdy folks,

I'm still "here" in that I do read emails on the list, but it's obvious
that I'm not spending any time on Propel.

Yes, as I've hinted on list, and discussed in more detail with some of
the core contributors, I really don't have time to maintain -- not to
mention lead new development -- for Propel.  I think Propel 1.3 is
relatively stable; I would speculate that for most folks, it just works
-- it does for me, anyway :)

Driving this is certainly the fact that I have increasingly less need
for Propel, given that I have very little desire to program in PHP;
Python has certainly ruined me in that regard.

In any event, I don't think any of the core contributors (that I've
talked to) really have the time to fully assume leadership for this
project; hence it's sort of in a holding pattern (well, a not-moving
pattern).

Is anyone in this thread volunteering to take over project leadership?

Obviously threats about using Doctrine are not exactly going to stir up
much reaction here.  You're welcome to use whatever ORM you like;
presumably, there's a reason why folks on this list are using Propel.
