WUPJ statement on the conversion law

As a bill has been debated that would change the immigration status of those Jews who came to Judaism through conversion, the World Union for Progressive Judaism, representing the concerns of Reform and Progressive Jews in 45 countries and with almost 2 million adherents, sent a strong letter to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, over the signature of the WUPJ Chairman, Steven M. Bauman.  Click here to read the letter.  Additional letters were sent to deputy prime ministers Mr. Ehud Barak, Minister of Defence (read here), and Mr. Avigdor Liberman, Minister of Foreign Affairs (read here). We will continue to monitor the debate and discussion.
