Hi folks,

I'm from Brazil and I've a 70's progressive rock radio show call
"Estação Rádio Espacial" (something link Space Radio Station in
english) on Solid Rock Radio ([link]), every
wednesday at 9 PM (Brazil Hour).

But I want to talk about a great FM from Rio de Janeiro in 70's call

March 2007 will mark the fortieth anniversary of underground radio's
origins in the San Francisco Bay Area, with the transition of KMPX to
progressive rock under the direction of "Big Daddy" Tom Donahue
(following a gentle shove by Larry Miller earlier in 1967). Donahue
would go on to revolutionize the format at KSAN ("The Jive 95").

Back in 1970 a friend of mine recorded an aircheck of a whole day of
programming on legendary Philadelphia station WMMR-FM, back in their
freeform heyday. Here's a small sample of the music they played that
day almost 35 years ago...

type.
It's very encouraging that lately more of the creative radio seeds
planted decades ago and left uncultivated by the wayward industry, are
sprouting, and via new technologies are growing over under and around
the soulless machine called commercial broadcasting.

I just found this group and I'm getting a real kick out of your posts,
guys. I was a dj on KMPX in San Francisco (where Donahue & Co. started
it all, by most accounts) from '71 till March '72. I had the sad
"honor" of playing the last rock'n'roll record on the station before
the demonic NY owners pulled the plug. I had Pinkertons at my elbow

heart of any musical webcaster I've found. It's the kind of radio this
