First we have a interview with Tom Engelhardt author of the new book The United States of Fear. In this book he takes a look at how fear is being used to control us and much more. Engelhardt created and runs TomDispatch.com, a project of The Nation Institute, where he is a fellow. He is the author of The American Way of War, The End of Victory Culture, and of a novel, The Last Days of Publishing, as well as a collection of his TomDispatch interviews, Mission Unaccomplished.
At 8:00 we will play a talk by Nomi Prins about her new book "Black Tuesday". Black Tuesday is a novel based on the historical epoch of the stock market crash of 1929.
Nomi Prins was former investment banker turned journalist. She worked at Goldman Sachs and Bear Stearns. She is the author of several books, including It Takes a Pillage: Behind the Bonuses, Bailouts, and Backroom Deals from Washington to Wall Street.
