Our first guest is Elizabeth Holtzman co author with Cynthia L. Cooper of the new book "Cheating Justice: How Bush and Cheney Attacked the Rule of Law, Plotted to Avoid Prosecution, and What We Can Do about It." As a member of Congress and part of the committee that investigated and held hearings on the conduct of President Richard Nixon in the Watergate scandal, Elizabeth Holtzman condemns Bush's adoption of Nixon's claim that he acted in the interest of national security.

 

At 8:00 we will play 2 speeches from the "HEALTHCRE-NOW"  National Conference "Building the Movement for Singel-PayerHelthcare." It was held in Houston on Jan. 28th & 29th. The first Keynote talk was given by Dr. Claudia Fegan the past President for Physicians for a National Health Program. The second talk was given by Michael Lighty the Director of Public Policy, National Nurses United.

 

We will also talk to Cathy Courtney with Health Care for All Texas, who was one of the presenters at the  "HEALTHCRE-NOW" Conference.
