Up first we have Brian Miller co-author of the new book "The Self-Made Myth: And the Truth About How Government Helps Individuals and Businesses Succeed." He is the executive director of United for a Fair Economy. We’re often told that wealthy and successful people are heroic visionaries who achieved their positions entirely on their own. The Self-Made Myth challenges the by-your-own-bootstraps narrative enshrined in American tradition.
In the 2ed hour we have a talk by Holly Barker titled "From Nuclear Weapons to Nuclear Energy: The U.S., The Marshall Islands, and Japan." Barker is co-author of "The Consequential Damages of Nuclear War: The Rongelap Report." The talk was given February 24, 2012 at University Temple United Methodist Church in Seattle, WA.
