Job Title : SAP Basis Administrator
Location : Dayton, OH .
Duration : 6 Months (Possibility of Extension)

Position Description:
The position is responsible for all aspects of SAP Basis Administration
including the installation, configuration and maintenance of the Basis
component of SAP systems and will assist in the planning, designing
& architecting of SAP systems.
Individuals should be capable of working independently or in teams and
have the ability to effectively communicate with internal business
customers to gain insight and develop solutions to meet their business
needs.
The SAP Basis Administrator will install support packs, conducts
upgrades, perform backups/recoveries, system refreshes, troubleshooting,
administer databases, conduct failovers, and monitor and ensure
performance of the SAP systems as well as the supported bolt-on
systems.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Supporting at a technical level the SAP systems ECC 6.0, CRM 7.01, BI
7.01, Portal 7.01, and Solution Manger 7.01 including the underlying
Microsoft SQL and MySQL databases with extensive knowledge in the
administration of these systems Provide system monitoring, problem
analysis, performance tuning, system installation, configuration, and
upgrades of the SAP and bolt-on systems within a Microsoft Server
environment Commitment to a 24x7 on-call schedule and being available
during evening and weekends when required Interact with the technical
teams, functional teams, business stakeholders, and external parties to
maintain the stability, availability, and performance of the systems on a
day to day basis and within project roles Apply SAP system corrections
through SAP Note application when issues are discovered Implement kernel
and support pack implementations on a regularly scheduled basis Enforce
SAP security through system configuration, note corrections, and
patches in order to meet PCI compliance Create and manage user accounts,
user roles, authorizations and permissions within SAP and the managed
bolt-ons Manage transport reviews, promotions, and scheduling Administer
SAP bolt-on systems dealing with shipping, credit card processing, and
tax calculation Maintain SAP GUI updates and package them for
distribution to end users Perform mass data loads into the SAP system
Setup and troubleshoot printers though SAP printer management Review and
implement the recommendations of SAP Early Watch sessions Maintain
documentation and operating procedures for the supported applications
and functions Execute system copies and SAP client copies including
follow-up configuration tasks Support the single sign on implementations
of all the SAP systems Coordinate and schedule SAP Go-live and review
sessions Position Requirements: SAP Basis experience including the
following: Kernel and patch updates System monitoring and log review SAP
GUI support Security and authorization Printer setup Transport
management System copies and client copies Solution Manager knowledge
and configuration SSO configuration Related Windows environment
experience: Microsoft Server (2003 and above) Microsoft SQL (2005 and
above) Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be
extremely customer service focused. Demonstrated ability to multi-task
