We had a very productive and fun 2.5 day Processing Workshop in Dallas
last week. Our specific (NSF sponsored) goal was to introduce
Processing to CS profs/instructors and share some of our findings/
experiences using Processing in the CS I classroom. In the end, I
think we (presenters) learned at least as much as the attendees.

On a personal note, it was very inspiring to spend such concentrated
time with others passionate about integrating computation + art +
life, including the challenges and joy in teaching this approach.

Next steps include exploring new approaches to teaching CS II and
another event planned in the spring, probably in the Philadelphia area.

Hi everyone,

I attended this workshop and would like to echo Ira's comments. It was
indeed productive and fun. I wrote about the workshop in my blog on
Interdisciplinary Computing. Here is the first of two posts about the
workshop: http://computing4society.blogspot.com/2012/01/computer-science-via-computing-and-vice.html
