Your system is deleting blank lines, this breaks OpenPGP encrypted
notes. They will not decrypt properly with the blank carriage returns
or line feeds stripped-out:

A received pgp message should like like this first example, but your
system is delivering it like the second example. Yes it's fixable if
the user knows what's happening, but it's a problem for non-crypto
geeks.

Thanks,

Lance

Hi Lance, Privnote removes TAB characters (\t) but not blank lines. Is
this a problem for you?.

I tried to reproduce the problem with the OpenPGP encrypted text you
sent and it seems to be received fine.

Pablo.

Sorry,

The fact that the sample worked properly was entirely my fault.
I posted that so you could visually see the change. But that was not
an original version form GPG.

If you post something using any GUI for GPG, I think you will see that
the message is modified.

Every time I try (with any GUI) I get an error message similar to
this:

Decryption failed. Unknown error.
gpg: invalid armor header: mfCVsMspk/zJau5G7tAU1OLPDYr4Z8JYVSaK/
FAaBVkrhw8lhiF6v0fhdmX7kokc\n
gpg: CRC error; 5044FD - E57EC8
gpg: packet(6) with unknown version 176
[GNUPG:] NODATA 3

Sorry for the confusion,

Lance
