> At our final lunch, I showed some of you my early copy of Buddhas Behind Bars, the book I edited and wrote an Intro and Afterthoughts for.  It's autobiographical accounts by 3 prison inmates with whom I've worked for well over ten years now:  their early lives, their crime, coming to prison, and the slow progress of positive change as they practiced Buddhist and Taoist principles.  They've been extraordinarily honest about many things and don't pretend to be done with the process.  (We never are.)  I think their stories make fascinating reading for anyone interested in the lives of prison inmates, the practice of Buddhism within the walls, or how change occurs over time.
