Unfortunately the high tide at 13:50 hours today didn't coincide with
a south-westerly wind, and consequently the marsh remained relatively
unflooded. The recent records of 6 and 7 Short-eared Owls had reduced
to one perched bird today, along with a female Peregrine, female
Merlin, a hunting kestrel, plus a Buzzard on the Hesketh Marsh side of

 Stephen,
I got my Gen from Birdguides last night, not first hand.
They seem to be quite mobile. When I saw Myerscough, I immediately thought
of the "Fylde!" but it refers to the Myerscough Arms area near the Pub by
BAe.
I would like to see them in our area. Four is a good number.
Regards and best wishes as always, Jimbo.
