Current Kansas Historical Foundation President Barb Morris of Hugoton and past President Paul Buchanan of Wichita will host the 2013 annual spring meeting of the Kansas Historical Society and the Kansas Historical Foundation. The two-day event highlights the history of people and places in the state's largest city.

Events begin 4 p.m. Friday, June 14, at the Wichita-Sedgwick County Historical Museum with a tour, program, and reception. On Saturday, June 15, activities begin at 8:30 a.m. at the Hotel at Old Town with a program on the preservation of Old Town. Participants can select from one of two behind-the-scenes tours:

| 2:15 p.m. | Kansas Aviation Museum |
| 4:00 p.m. | Both tours return to the Hotel in Old Town |
