Attached is a sneak preview of this coming Sunday's newsletter.  Several details have been added, even to the newsletter that was distributed Wednesday night.

 

Note that the next two Sundays we'll have special worship services.  Please come and bring others with you, to support our young people and our musicians, and to experience the true spirit of Christmas.

 

This Sunday (Dec. 13) the children and youth will perform their Christmas pageant.  Don't expect perfection; just enjoy that our young people are learning and telling the real Christmas story, and are giving it their best.  The congregation will get in the act, too, by singing several beloved Christmas carols. 

 

Next Sunday (Dec. 20) the choir will present its Christmas Cantata.  The congregational will sing additional familiar Christmas music.

 

As the newsletter notes, we're receiving donations (monetary and otherwise) for several projects that benefit the needy in our community as well as our chidren and youth.

This Sunday the Adult Living New Testament Class, which now meets in the large conference room (near the youth room), will depart from its current study and look at the Christmas story as told in the first two chapters of the Gospel of Luke.  We'll have some special holiday refreshments.  All are welcome, even if you don't come to Sunday School on a regular basis, for this occasion to remember why we celebrate Christmas.
