CLINTON D. POWELL, 81, of Memphis, retired from Overnite Transportation, died November 19, 2009 at Methodist North Hospital. Visitation will be from 11:30 a.m. until service time at 1 p.m. Saturday, November 21 at Memphis Funeral Home Poplar Chapel. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. He was a member and active deacon at Second Baptist Church, Teacher of Berean-Gideon Sunday School class, member of Associated Transportation Club, 40 year volunteer at St. Jude Golf Tournament and a member of the Normal Masonic Lodge. He leaves his wife of 61 years, Mary Sue Powell; two sons, Clint Powell, Jr. (Carolyn) and Sam Powell (June), and four grandsons, Scott Powell (Emily), John Powell, David Powell and Jason Powell.
