Hello PPW goers.

I'm excited to announce that we are currently negotiating for a new venue for the Pittsburgh Perl Workshop in 2013. While we hope to have an official announcement prior to YAPC::NA, we are asking that you please mark your calendars now for October 4th through 6th, 2013.

If you are planning to reserve a room for PPW, you may want to do so soon. The Steelers will be playing a home game on October 9th, and we do expect hotels to be booked solid. Once again, we have arranged for a group discount at the Quality Inn, but you must book your room soon:

Dave Rolsky may be offering the one day Intro to Moose class at PPW.
This depends on whether there's sufficient interest to justify
offering it (probably a minimum of 6 students).

Pittsburgh Perl Workshop tours Fallingwater

We are planning a tour of one of the most famous houses in the world,
Frank Lloyd Wright's Fallingwater, for Friday October 7 at 1:00 P.M..
October is the busiest month for touring Fallingwater as Fall is one
of the most beautiful times to tour the house.
We currently have only 20 slots allocated.

The 5th Annual Pittsburgh Perl Workshop will be held at the Carnegie Mellon University’s Gates Hillman Complex on October 8 and 9, 2011. The conference aims to provide a relaxed, but educational time with talks focused on using modern Perl to solve problems that are relevant to developers in both academic and commercial settings.

PPW 2011 - Falling Water tour

Plans are underway for a great PPW 2011.
One of the great things we are planning is a tour of Falling Water,

The dates for PPW are tentatively planed for Oct 15 and Oct 16 and
will be firmed up soon
We need to book about four months in advance.
The ticket cost will be $20.00.

We have another great Pittsburgh Perl Workshop planned for October 9ï¿½10
2010.
We have great talks, great classes, Larry Wall keynoting and a great
hallway track.
This year PPW will be in the new Gates Center at CMU and it would be
great to break it in with the biggest PPW yet.
Now we need YOU!
