Hi!
Following up this exciting week of both a PPLUG meeting last Tuesday
(17th) with over 12 members attending and the GNOME.Asia Summit in Ho
Chi Minh City I think we have a lot of projects started.
One of them was about porting OOo4Kids in Cambodian. We have just
finished to do the Chinese port (there was some issues with the code not
being ready for Chinese). Julien, my friend and colleague who did the
port will look and try to do the job. You can get more information about
OOo4Kids here:

Then we also talked about RUR-PLE, a python learning environment for
kids. Old website is here on sourceforge:
http://rur-ple.sourceforge.net/
Latest code is on Google code here:
http://code.google.com/p/rur-ple/
and we'll be releasing the 1.0 soon (I'm supposed to do the work...).
Also multi-platform support like OOo4Kids above.
Tutorials (48 lessons) are currently available in 7 languages (English,
German, French, Spanish, Turkish, Welsh and Chinese simplified) and it
would be nice to have it in Cambodian. Jean-Christophe from the Hanoi
LUG said he will start working on a Vietnamese version as well.
For what it's worth, it took us about a year to translate both the UI
(very fast) and the tutorials (one of the strong point of the software).
So if anyone find the software of interest and think it would benefit
Cambodia, please go ahead.
And then I'll be working on the PPLUG website in the weeks to come.
Hopefully we can have something up and running before X'mas.
Any question, please let me know.
Fred
