 No sound

I recently installed Power Tab Version 1.7 Build 80 on to my laptop running Microsoft XP Professional from a guitar tuiton CD. When I run Power Tab files there is no sound, even though I can see it running as the notation changes from black to red and back again. The CD also has video and MP3 files. These open and play fine in Real Player with full sound, so it appears this is not a problem with computer itself. Any suggestions on how to rectify this. I've search for 'mute' buttons that might be selected, but no good. I uninstalled and reinstalled the software but again nothing.... more »

adding guitars to a song

i can add the guitars in set up & adjust tuning. then i can "add
staves" but i dont know how to assign a guitar to a new staff. even if
i tab harmonies it will only play one track. help?

basic question

When I enter notes in powertab they aren't immediately played. That
is, if I enter a 3 on the A string, I would like to hear a B played.
When I play back a tab, it works so the midi is fine. Is there a
setting to do this?

I think Power Tab would be amazing on the iPhone. Being able to play
and create tablature in Power Tab on my phone would be pretty much the
most kick-ass thing ever. I would even pay for it.
Please consider it, developers!

Everything is to the side

All the toolbars on the top and bottom are to the left and therefore
makes the top and bottom very big and the tabs small. The is extra
space to the right but i can't move it, PLEASE HELP!

faded numbers?

Can anyone tell me what faded out numbers on tabs mean?
This is non-standard tab stuff and I'm quite confused as to what it
is, quickly playing the same note again, bending, etc.... doesn't
sound right....Really can't crack what it is.

Pitch change in tab + narrow 16ths notes

Sometimes when I write 16th notes, the space between the two
"bars" (you know the bars on the staves of 16th notes?) gets narrow
(more than usual) and the note played is higher than it's supposed to.
This is more common on the higher notes, e.g. the 19th fret on the E-

I have used several programs to turn the song into midi from mp3.
Nothing I have tried works ,Hopefully there is a way to do this,
please let me know if it is ,or is not
possible

Ok, so I just recently dowloaded power tab librarian and downloaded a
bunch of songs. Where do I need to save these songs so they will come
up in power tab librarian? So far, I haven't been able to acess them
through PTL...

Powertab Crashes!! :(

Hey Guys,
I just recently cleaned my computer and re-added PTE. I upgraded my
Vista from Home Basic to Ultimate. When I ran Home Basic I never had a
problem with crashes(freezes) in PT. Now, I open PTE import a song and
click play. As soon as I click play PTE locks up and it doesn't

I get a message saying "there are no midi output devices available on
this machine" when i try to setup midi.
Please help.. i can definitely play .mid files etc with other programs
