I recently installed Power Tab Version 1.7 Build 80 on to my laptop running Microsoft XP Professional from a guitar tuiton CD. When I run Power Tab files there is no sound, even though I can see it running as the notation changes from black to red and back again. The CD also has video and MP3 files. These open and play fine in Real Player with full sound, so it appears this is not a problem with computer itself. Any suggestions on how to rectify this. I've search for 'mute' buttons that might be selected, but no good. I uninstalled and reinstalled the software but again nothing.... more »

Feature Request, Remove music score from section button, For pure tab layout.

Yup as the title says. Some sort of button in the top toolbar that can hide and show the music score part of the section. Like the attachment shows, just Pure Tablature look. Hi, I had once another Power (Chord) Tab, don't know the name, which showed the part of the melody is played. A red vertical line walked along according to which notes are played. Is there any possibilty to get it from Power Tab? kind regards George (Vienna)

I started using PowerTabs to document some Ukulele songs. I have seen other tab scores where under the title ( near left margin ) is a tuning key like 1 = A 3 = C 2 = E 4 = G with circles around the numbers ... I just got a new computer (running Windows 7) and I tried to download Powertab Editor 1.7 which is what I had on my previous computer and it worked fine. However, on my new computer the tabs will not open. I can open editor but if I try to open a tab from any website a popup says that "the version of this file is not compatible with my computer....blah blah... more »

File Serialization Error Help Please.

I have been working on a song and I went to open it today and got the error. File Serialization Error: File has a bad header. I really do not want to redo it. Does anybody have any idea on how to fix it? I uploaded the file for you. Thanks again. -Todd J. Rohrer

Hello, i downloaded tabulature from japanese site and i cant read it with PowerTab. Message i see after i try to open C:\\something\filename.ptb contains an invalid path. Can anyone help me?

Quesion about partiture/tablature

Hello All,
Im new user of the power editor...
My question is.
There's some way to turn off the partiture and just let the tablature
appear, i just need the tablature to create exercises and it occupies
useful space.
Can anyone explain to me how to turn this feature off ?!?!

I did buy tabview from the app store last week,however I am unable
to put it to use. The message from the developer of this app. isn't
detailed enough since I am still fairly new at computer use. Any help
