You 'll have better performance with autoinstantiate nvo's. BUT, when i use a nvo to transfer information between objects (openWithParm, closeWithReturn, ...), or as an argument of a function, i create it myself (not autoinstantiate). This for performance issues. Notice that since pb7, you have a third solution for nvo belonging to a window.... more »

Problem recompiling after changing nvo method's return value datatype

I'm in the process of changing a lot of code that made reference to Integer data type. I'm changing from Integer to Long. When I do this on nvo's I'm getting compile errors indicating differences in parameter types. I believe it has to do with decendent nvo's that have overridden the method that are still showing the return data type to be integer.... more »

Hello. The problem is: When a ddlb has a focus we can press ALT + DownArrow to expand the list and see the items. I want to obtain the same by pressing ENTER - to see the items. He is probably thinking about windows taskbar, where this behaviour is implemented thru a paticular style of a tab control (this style unfortunately i not supported by PB wrappers of Micro$oft's tab control, although I numerously requested it as an enhancement request).
