I'm with you on merging the list- just wanted a starting point (and
i'm a bit OCD about completing things, so feel like i got to make sure
they ALL get done... lol).
I also agree we should organize... i almost envision a gartner magic
quadrant- maybe difficulty against cost against danger against
weather... wait, too many axis...
So here's a rough shot at organization:
Thing with your body (headstand, juggle, tightrope, armpit farts)
Tools
- hand tools
---(list of hand tools here)
- power tools
---(list of power tools here)
In the kitchen
- cooking
- preparing
In the yard
- treehouses
- climbing trees
- digging holes
- starting fires
- putting out fires
In the water
- swim fully dressed
- dive for something heavy
- float for a long time
etc... (note these are just off the cuff examples)
Or we could just do the semantic thing and tag everything:
Learn to slackline - tags: body, balance, outdoors, equipment,
webbing, caribeaners
Make deviled eggs - tags: egg, food, kitchen, ziplock bag
Sleep under stars - tags: camping, outdoors, sleep, bed, weather
That is probably more flexible, but doesn't help organize on a sheet of paper...
So take these and improve on them.
but i'm going to commit to a new idea with every post i make so:
- make instant ice (per video) by freezing water and not having it crystallize
- make a rocket stove (and boil water on it)
- learn SODIS to purify water
