I would say just make sure we have POWER and plenty of it in each of the pits ... hopefully they will also supply us with a tent again (that was awesome!) and tables and some chairs ... and it would be nice if we had internet access ... although it is not a necessity compared to the power.   ;-)   They spoiled us last year and personally I loved it!!

Not to sound like a wimp but I about destroyed my back carrying a
bunch of SLAs over from the parking garage last year. It would be cool
to either have an area close to the pits to unload or have some hand
trucks available. Some of this hardcore racing equipment is heavy.

I really enjoyed the KC Maker Faire last year ... but the pits were semi close to the parking area ... and this year they will be out front ...

Just an FYI ... I was thoroughly impressed with Detroit and their "delivery system" ... they really really REALLY helped us get things from drop off area to the pits ... and due to the fact that the heat REALLY got to me in Detroit ... I sure appreciated that golf cart ride which helped us move stuff out to our vehicle and ME!  

Hmmmm how about if we build a power wheels vehicle that doesn't necessarily qualify for "race specs" but could help deliver things in and out of the building and to/from front of building ... if I could get THAT approved ... that could be a great thing for one of my teenagers to drive and help out with.   ???  (expecting a NO ... but this IS a MAKER faire ...)

No one here is going to tell you no. I know we will be adding a portable push cart to our inventory of tools to bring. Moving things is always a pain.
