We still have a potential 5 teams who can win the title for Chicago. Depending on how teams finish, and how their second weekend goes out Sector 67, i3 Detroit, the Lone Hacker, DT&ZT and Hack Pittsburgh all have a shot at the title. Here are the single weekend best totals for each car:
Fauxrarri Sector 67 475
Black Jeep i3 Detroit 360
Lone Hacker LHR 274
Duct Tape ZT CCCKC 267
TigerHacker i3 Detroit 255
Hack Pittsburgh HPGH 223
So the best 2 finishes you have in event points will determine your final score for the Tesla Cup.
Obviously Sector 67 has the best shot at it, as their 2nd place finish in Detroit means they have a considerable buffer even if they have a weekend several times worse than Detroit.
i3 Detroit basically has to perform just as they did at Detroit, but this time without home court advantage with Moxie.
The Lone Hacker would have to win heavy in Moxie (and has proven to dominate at this) to secure hopes for the overall title.
DT&ZT are an outside shot, but if they can maintain a good consistency if the other teams fall on hard times.
TigerHacker had a bad weekend at Detroit, but a weekend parallel to the first i3 team could catapult him to the first privateer title ever.
Hack Pittsburgh are your dark horse. Just as fast and skilled as the front runners they have shown immense pace. However they would need to really step up their Moxie if they were to mount a title hunt.
The iffy nature of whether or not OCD can find somebody to transport the banana car to Chicago means that the Moxie is wide open for contention. Basically anybody who mounts a serious Moxie effort can overcome the race points deficit. It would have to be amazing though.
I will post full standings soon in a much more understandable and readable format soon, including the Moxie Cup standings, which seem to be an incredibly tight battle as well!
