Open Meeting this Wednesday!

[Portland Zine Symposium]

Have you ever thought about becoming a Portland Zine Symposium organizer? Now's your chance! This Wednesday, Dec. 5, at 7pm, we'll be holding our second open meeting to talk about what it means to be an organizer, what we need help with, and how you can fit in. We always need active, responsible, dependable, zine-y people to help us make PZS happen! Is that you?  

We'll be meeting at the Independent Publishing Resource Center on 1001 SE Division. 

Also, don't forget - Amazine Day is coming up on Saturday, Dec. 8 from 2-6pm. Sign up for a 11 x 17 slice of table for $5 in-person only at the IPRC. The event is FREE to attend, and we will be providing pizza and sodas from Hot Lips as well as beer from Ninkasi. Come pick up some holiday gifts and support local zinesters. 

The Portland Zine Symposium is free conference and zine social exploring facets of independent publishing and DIY culture. The Portland Zine Symposium is a two day event held in Portland, Oregon every summer since 2001. It consists of two days of of workshops, panels, discussions, games and tabling of zines and independent media.

The Portland Zine Symposium aims to promote greater community between diverse creators of independent publications and art. This fun and free event helps people share their work while exchanging their skills and information related to zine culture. Through workshops, panels and discussions, Portland Zine Symposium explores the role and effect of all types of zines.
