Dear Friend,
Our Eighth Annual Tom and Mom Cat Special in honor of Spay Day USA takes
place February 14 - March 17, 2009. For this event several local
non-profits, including POPPA Inc, team up with local veterinarians to offer
$10 male cat neuters and $15 female cat spays to the low-income public.
There are three ways that you can help us:
1. Contact your vet and ask them to participate in the Tom and Mom Cat
Special 2009. If they say they have already signed up, please thank them.
2. Make a direct donation today. We need to raise an additional $3,000
for a total of $10,000 in order to subsidize the spay surgeries for this
event. Please go to http://www.spayoregon.org and click the Make a
Donation link.

3. Enter the Spay Day USA Photo contest and promote your companion
animal's photo on the official Spay Day site.
You and your animal companion can celebrate Spay Day, have a chance to win
great prizes, and help us end pet homelessness - all by entering the Spay
Day Online Pet Photo Contest!
Simply upload a photo of your special animal companion at:

During the contest entry process, please choose Pet Over-Population
Prevention Advocates to receive donations generated by the votes you get for
your pet's photo.
Ask friends and family to vote for your pet. You can even add a vote button
for your pet to your Facebook page! Each vote costs just $1, which will be
donated to the Tom and Mom Cat Special. The sooner you enter the contest,
the more people who can vote for your pet, and the more spay/neuter funding
the Tom and Mom Cat Special can receive to help animals in need! All funds
raised will be used to pay this years bills or will be kept in a fund
towards the Tom and Mom Cat Special 2010.
In addition, if your pet finishes as one of the top 500 vote-getters, you'll
win great prizes, with extra special prizes for the Top 10 finalists and the
Grand Prize Fundraiser. And a panel of celebrity judges will choose eleven
of the very best photos for prizes, too!

"Search Pets" button. Then click on the "Filter By Local Organization"
