I've started Everyman again (Went for 2 weeks and failed a few months
ago) and have been going for about a week and a half. When I read
people's blogs they always say they wake up from naps and are
surprised at how refreshing it was, but I've never felt like that.

I've experimented with 20-25 minute alarm clock times to allow myself
time to fall asleep, but haven't noticed much of a difference. Atleast
once every 2 days I've woken up before my alarm after about 18
minutes, but even then I still feel fairly tired. After about 30
minutes of being up from a nap I'll feel normal, but until then I feel
slightly tired and want to go back to sleep.

Does anyone have some ideas on why my naps aren't as good as they
could be?

I was like that before I adapted. I've only been adapted for a couple
of months. But it did take me about a month before I started feeling
"normal". And I couldn't even fall asleep for most of my naps in the
first week or so. That first month was pure hell! But it is worth it
afterwards.

This. Sorry, people, it's not some magical, instant thing. Some people
take 15 days before they ever feel a 'good' nap. To be fully adapted,
I've found those who have been successful adapt in about 20-30 days,
because as we know, it takes 32 days for our body to pick up a habit,
or drop one, like sleeping for 8 hours.

I am a fully adapted uberman, my twin did it with me as an everyman,
both of us took the same amount of time before we no longer had 'side
effects'.
