Hello all. I'm new and this is my first post. I'm interested in
becoming a polyphasic sleeper. More specifically, I think that Uberman
is more suited for me. I do, however, need help in constructing a
schedule because I do have classes for more than 4 hours straight. Are
there any deviations from Uberman that allow for an extended period,
longer than 4 hours?

Any help would be appreciated:

7am - 7:20am: Breakfast
7:30am - 11:30am - Classes
11:30 am - 12:30pm - Lunch
12:30 pm - 2:45pm - Classes

One nap needs to be during the lunch period, of course, but 4 hours
ahead of that time is class....

Basically, I need help constructing a polyphasic sleep schedule around
that.

I want the easier adaption, euphoria, and healthiness of Uberman,
rather than Everyman.

One thing you did not mention was how far your sleeping area is from your class.  Will you be napping in a car or somewhere within a few minutes walk?  You should not have a problem stretching two spaces between naps to 5 hours as long as you keep to it like clock work.

When organizing my schedule, I found it incredibly useful to block off
all my time in Google Calendar, and then place in potential places for
maps. They're easy to drag around, so you can see what works.

My first attempt at polyphasing was a pretty pathetic failure, because
forcing regular naps into my schedule just wasn't feasible. I was
always rushing to get out of class on time or something to get my nap,
and it just didn't work. So like Patrick said, make sure you have time
to get to and wind down for your nap, so you can take it at exactly
the same time every day without fail. That perfect consistency is
critical to your success.

First, this sounds like a High school schedule, and if you're under
18, you're not allowed on this board. Please review the rules.

You've got a schedule that might work here. If you ate breakfast at 6,
walked to class, napped before class from 7-7:20 got out of class at
11:30, napped till 11:50 ate lunch, then took class till 2:45 and
napped at 3, you'd only be off on your middle nap by 30 mins. This
isn't a huge deal, but I'll caution you against it. The first 3 days,
you'll be useless, and the first 3 weeks, you'll feel funny. Your
grades might suffer, and that might be a problem. You're looking at a
3-7-11 schedule, with one nap a day being a little late. It's doable,
but it's going to be harder than usual, and that's never a good
thing.

Keep reading. The more you read, the more you'll learn. People who
have accomplished Uberman are almost always extremely rigid in the
recommended schedules at first. Uberman is difficult. If you succeed,
for the rest of your life, you'll talk about it as the thing that took
the most discipline--the most structure. The problem with Uberman is
that you hear about it and think it's going to be easy. Let me give
you some examples of similar questions you would consider ridiculous:
"I'd like to run a marathon, but I have no chance to train. Can't I
just start running and keep going for 26.2 miles?"
"I'd like to become a surgeon, but I don't have the time to go to
school. Can't I just start cutting people and have them do the
healing?"
"I've heard that Mozart composed symphonies at age 7. How can I do the
same thing so I don't have to practice?"

We all sleep, which means we're all familiar with it. We figure we
spend 8 hours doing it a day, so why wouldn't we be experts by now?
Let me change your focus a little. Instead of "how can I change
uberman to match my schedule?" instead ask "how can I change my
schedule to match uberman?" If you can't, then don't become one of the
many many people who say Uberman is impossible because you tried
something else and think it should be the same.

Good luck
