Hello!

It’s 3:30 PM on Sunday afternoon and I can still hear your voices
reciting Slowacki’s poetry. A week ago we had “An Afternoon with

My paternal great-grand parents were from Poland but I don’t know what region nor do I know when they emigrated to the US. They changed their name to ‘Cooper’ from ‘Culavia’ -- I’m sure the spelling is incorrect but, I’ve spelled it here, phonetically. Does this sir name ring a bell with anyone and can you tell me how to spell it correctly? Anyone that could have provided information in my family is gone now and I’m trying to learn more about my Polish heritage. Thank you.

Try speeling with K...Are you regirester with Anmesty.com or EllisIsland.org
Start with Ellis Island...then go the Ancestry for census records. I have access to both sites if you can tell me approximate year they came to US, what states did they live in. I can do a quick search.
