Subject: The Berlin Wall and Poland by Mark Fountain

Did it fall or was it pushed?
An historical look at the position of Poland and its western neighbor,
Germany,
leading to the erection of the Berlin Wall at the behest of Poland’s eastern
neighbor,
the Soviet Union, in August 1961 and the apparently sudden fall of that Wall
20 years ago, on November 9, 1989.
