Drodzy Przyjaciele!
Postanowiłam napisac ten e-meil, dlatego ze obchodzilismy(
przynajmniej w Polsce )-4-tego czerwca wydarzenie niezmiernej wagi
dla nas Polakow jak i calej wschodniej Europy- OBALENIE KOMUNIZMU.
To nie Mur Berlinski byl tym wydarzeniem, to my Polacy
wywalczylismy WOLNOSC. Nie rozumiem, dlaczego nasz klub wraz z
Naszym Honorowym Konsulem Markiem Fontain nic absolutnie nie
zrobil, aby uswietnic te rocznice. Nawet glowy innych panstw, jak
z Niemiec -- Merkel, z Ukrainy - Timoszenko, itp. byli obecni w
Polsce aby uświetnić po 20 -tu latach to ogromnie dla całego
swiata wydarzenie.
Mamy obecnie tu w NC Honorowego Konsula Rzeczpospolitej Polskiej,
mamy tez czlonkow, ktorzy przeszli pieklo za komuny. Jestem pewna
ze wiele osob chcialoby ,aby Ameryka wiedziala co sie wtedy
wydarzylo i co wtedy wielu z nas przeszlo. Dlaczego nie robimy
nic, jak nawet na CNN byl specjalny, calotygodniowy program p.t.
"Autumn of Change" na temat wlasnie wydarzen w Polsce 20 lat temu?
Ja jestem pierwsza, ktora pomoze to rozpropagowac i edukowac nasza
mlodziez, ktora nie pamieta tych lat. Wiele naszych dzieci nie
wie, co 20 lat temu sie wydarzylo, nie wiedza o tej tak waznej dla
naszego narodu rocznicy.
Prosze o kontakt wszystkich, ktorzy mi pomoga rozpropagowac to
wazne wydarzenie.

Dear Friends,
I am writing this message in regards to the seminal events of
twenty years ago, which Poland and Poles around the world proudly
celebrated last week: the overthrow of the Communist system. It
was not the fall of the Berlin wall that marked the destruction of
communism, but our polish conquest over the system that culminated
on June 4th, 1989. I am disturbed by the fact that our
organization and our Honorary Consul Mark Fountain have taken no
action to celebrate this or to make this event known to the
public. In Poland, the leaders of foreign countries such as
Germany's Angela Merkel and Ukraine's Timoszenko, among others
came to Poland last week in order to recognize this historic
event. In North Carolina, we currently have a Honorary Consul of
the Republic of Poland, as well as members that suffered through
horrific times during the communist occupation of Poland. I am
sure that many people from Poland would like the American people
to know what truly happened in the 50 years after World War II, as
well as hear the stories of the people that had lived through it.
Last week, CNN had a week-long special about these events called
"Autumn of Change." This shows that even non-Poles are interested
in this amazing and uplifting achievement.
I am willing to take action to inform the Polish and American
public about the true reality of these times that most of them are
not familiar with. I would really appreciate if anyone that is
willing to work towards this goal would contact me.
Thank you, Ewa, for bringing this milestone to my attention. Although I did know that it was the actions taken in Poland that was often attributed to the downfall ("domino effect") of the Communist Party throughout the Russian-dominated "soviet socialist republics", I was not as attuned to the date of what is the 20th anniversary of this historic event.
Obviously, I have not personally suffered because of the decades of Russian domination of Poland, but in whatever way I am able to help publicize this "amazing achievement", as you so accurately identified the June 4th occasion, please let me know how I can be of assistance.
Again, thank you for bringing this to my attention and, especially, for having sent your message both in the Polish and in the English language so that I may participate in the information.

Nasz syn ma autyzm. 4 lipca rozpoczynamy dla niego nowa terapie, neurofeedback, ktora czesto jest skuteczna w leczeniu autyzmu. Pragniemy zwiekszyc szanse jej powodzenia dla naszego syna proszac wszystkich, ktorych znamy (nawet jesli tylko troszke) o wsparcie nas swoimi myslami, modlitwa, trzymaniem kciukow czy zyczeniami powodzenia. Wierzymy, ze kazda jedna dobra mysl moze przyczynic sie do naszego sukcesu i pozwoli wyleczyc Alexa z autyzmu, z ktorym zmaga sie on juz od prawie dwoch lat.
Bedziemy rowniez ogromnie wdzieczni za rozpowszechnienie naszej prosby poprzez jej przeslanie do wlasnych krewnych i znajomych, albo jej wydrukowanie i wywieszenie w miejscu pracy lub w szkole.
Mamy nadzieje, ze ta chilka troski o naszego syna zwroci Wam sie stokrotnie!

Dear Friends and Others,
Our son has autism. On July 4th, we are starting a new therapy with him, Neurofeedback, which has helped recover some people from autism. We thought that we could enhance our son’s chances for success if we ask everybody we can reach to support our efforts in her/his mind. It doesn’t matter when and how, just please wish our son to heal. We believe that every single good wish, prayer, positive energy or any other sort of supportive thoughts and feelings will help Alex end his autism - that he’s been living with for almost 2 years now. And we hope life will repay you greatly for your caring about our son.
Also, feel free to forward this message to other people, to distribute it far and wide as you see fit. Print it out and hang it up at your work place or pray for us in your Church. Any extra support will be greatly appreciated.
