obsessions
he’s pondering
his obsession again,
the all consuming
is becoming his friend
like
extremists battling
the endless lie,
purpose and its place,
destroy and die
as
separations fade,
blending becomes one,
planets disappear
in an expanding sun
then
all that remains
is a flash of light,
a lone shooting star
in the black of night
