Please note that i am explaining the process, but I wanted to make sure that my response is correct if not, pl correct me.
Also, answers should be relevant to question but I have written few extra which is for my learning/understanding.
This is part of Projct human resource management.
In HRM, develop HR plan,acquire,develop & manage project team.
RACI - Responsible,Accountable, Consult and Inform , using RACI,
When is RACI prepared?
While Develop the HR plan, need to define roles and responsbilities for each team members. sothat all team members will have clear understanding of their role/responsibility.
There are many formarts and all are falling under matrix, text and organisational format.
RAM is used to explain connection between work pacakges and team members. RACI is one type of RAM
Who prepares RACI?
Project manager prepares RACI
What would be impact if there is no RACI in place?
RACI is highly important if the team consists of internal and external resources to make sure that roles and responsibilities are well defined.
if not, there will be lot of confusion in case of small or large scale projects. team members may not know what to do and what not to do about their activities which eventually impact the deadline of the project and deliverables. Team members should know about their defined/planned activity either develop or design or test.
If all well defined, the Project manager will easily meet the deadline. If No RACI, there will be an impact on deliverables/planning and activities.
