One of your team members filed a critical report ten minutes before a
bidder conference. You notice some serious errors have crept into the
report. You should:

A - Cancel the meeting and reschedule it at a later date

B - Go ahead with the meeting and tell the participants what is wrong
with the report

C - Go ahead with the meeting, but ask your team member to make the presentation

D - Refer the team member`s report to management and ask them to
cancel the meeting

I am between A or D, What do you think about it ? Could it be
professional responsibility or communication management!!!

The sequence ofrequired actions is as follows -

1. Go to bidder conference meeting room
2. Tell that there serious errors in the report,
3. Advise that there is no point to go ahead with the meeting / conference
4. Cancel the meeting and reschedule it at a later date

The last action of above sequence is given in option A.

It comes under cross cutting skills for project management, underlying
all knowledge area.

Hope this will be of some help.

Folks, I believe this questions came from either Rita's book or PMstudy. The correct answer is Cancel the meeting and reschedule it at a later date and I that was "A" on the original questions.

Well - with serious errors in the report - the meeting has to be cancelled.  And this outcome is there with A and D answeres.  Well it is more explicitly told on answer A.  Hence I would go for A as an ideal condition.  (Practically it is D - but i think we need to think as an ideal Proj Mgr stand rather than others)

After seeing the comments, I am going to Answer: A.
As a ideal PM, we can't play BLAME game.. (pointing Team Member)... Bidder Conference is responsibility of PM as part of procurement Management (even though which involves other teams like legal,.... which are behind the scene). So I think, PM has whole responsibility of cancelling/rescheduling the bidder conference. How smoothly he handles is trick here, which is out of the scope of this question...

A is the correct answer. The first thing to do is to cancel the meeting so that no one else's time is wasted.
