Taken the exam on new pattern

Hi Fellow Group members,

Y'day I took my PMP exam and looking at the curiousity on new exam,
here is my experince.

I can't compare the old and new exam patterns as I have never taken
the old exam :) but I didn't find anything new on the exam. All the
questions were similar to what we pratice in available question banks.
There were no direct questions on Professional & Social
responsibility...as PMI mentioned.

I didn't get my score as it'll be availbale in 4-6 weeks from the date
of change of exam.

I would say since there is no change in PMBOK, continue preparing the
same way. Many people (including Rita) have shared a lot of tips and
those tips are pretty valid. The exam just tests your basics and
knowledge of Project Management concepts.

I have taken my exam on October 1st. I concur Amit "No direct
questions on Professional & Social responsibility". I would say take
more exams (at least Four 200 questions in one stretch) and if you can
score about 75%. You should be able to handle PMP exam.

Hi Cesar,

I think Rita 6th edition itself is good for the exam. Even i have the same edition.

Seventh is not necessary if you already have early edition.

To check for good questions that reflect RDS changes, there are lot of free questions on the net.

For ex, check 75 free question by Oliver Lehmann ( www.Oliverlehmann.com).

I dont think any other author have published separate editions just for RDS changes.

Remember that its not Rita who contributed to this new edition as she had passed away may 2010.

Though the books still has her name, the same quality is unlikely.

Hi Everybody,

Yes...Rita's 6th edition is sufficient...I'll again stress the need to
do as much questions as possible.....
I did the questions from Rita's Fast Track.

and to support my claim with some facts............ 2 hrs back...I got
an email from PMI congratulating me on my PMP...
so I officially changing my signatures from now onwards..
