Hey, i read on your site(pluf.org) that you don't have logo. There was
about half of an our fee time and i draw couple of samples

I just changed a little bit:
http://groups.google.com/group/pluf-users/web/pluf2.svg

You can see that inverted the logo to make it more dynamic and going up
(cases 2,3,4).

What do you think about it?

Take a look at cases 2, 3 and 4. The stylised lu is inverted, from small
to big. I left the original 1 and 5. Note, nothing was wrong!

Note, I have no clue with respect to copyrights and stuff like that. I
would be pleased to use this logo for Pluf, but I don't want to create
issues for the project in the future.

What do you think would be the best way to go?

I'm too. What license used for Pluf? GPL? Take a look on license site
or check any other project under this license too see how they solve
this issue.

The license is LGPL, but usually people are putting the copyrights on
the logo in the hands of a foundation or the company behind the product
to be able to register a trade mark and protect the logo. My question is
more, if someone want to write a book about Pluf and reuse the logo it
should not make any problems.

If you are ok, we can keep them under the LGPL and I may, in the future,
if we see the need, trade mark Pluf and the logo, but only if we see the
need to protect Pluf and the logo from abusive use.

Would you be ok for that?

I'm not big expert in this question.
Additionally take a look a CreativeCommons maybe some of those license
do the job for you...

Usually the format is:

Name <email/website> - Description

For example:

Slavic <http://www.slavic.tld> - Pluf logo.

Right now i don't have my site... There are couple sites under
development, but i don't know which will be my home...
And e-mail i don't want to populate. So i don't know what to do, may
be live it blank for now and later i will tell you.
I think it will be not big difference for license issues or i'm wrong.

Speaking about a logo, I got an idea the other day. I'm not really
good at drawing, but maybe somebody with more skills than I have will
turn this into something beautiful.

Basically my idea was to stylise the "F" from Pluf into a feather. It
is also a reminder that Pluf means Plume Framework at the beginning :)

Well this was just a quickshot, so feel free to criticize ;)
