Hi folks

Quite a lot of progress has been made around organising the upcoming
Plone sprint lately and it's time for an update.

* Besides Eric Steele, the current Plone release manager, we now also
have David Glick who will attend. David probably needs no introduction,
he is one of the original Dexterity authors and is member of the Plone
Framework team.

* We now also have a website specifically for the event:
http://sprint.plone.co.za

It'll later be updated with info on setting up the required coredev
environment. The idea is that people do some prepping before the sprint,
so that they are ready to rock when they get there.

* Braai on Friday

The Praekelt offices have a nice patio on which we can have a braai on
Friday evening.

* We will need some hardware

I will bring a computer and screen on which we will stream the Munich
sprint. A projector for this could be quite cool too...

Rudi, it would be great if we could use your projector for the Dojo
sessions. Does anyone else have another we could use?

We'll also need some webcams to stream our sprint. I'll probably go out
and buy one tomorrow. If anyone else has more, please bring them,
perhaps we can hook them up from more than one angle.

Anything else I might be missing?

* RSVP on meetup

Everyone on the meetup group who haven't RSVP'd yet, please do so. It
looks much better with more people confirmed and it puts my mind at
ease :)

Thanks!
JC

Great, thanks JC! We can certainly use my projector.

Cool, but we have a typo:
"Every day from 9:00 AM to whenever the last person with keys wants to luck up."

Anything else I might be missing?

I would just like to mention that the catering/food factor still needs to be addressed at some point.

I wonder if people will stay very late though, with four days there's
perhaps less pressure to stay late. We'll see...

I met Jan-Jaap Driessen (well-known Grok guy) last night in Stellenbosch
and he told me about the time he helped organise a SEVEN day sprint in
Amsterdam (!).

Some fruit, snacks and drinks will be provided, but sprinters will have
to sort out lunch etc. for themselves.

I'm thinking Pizza, mr.delivery etc. There's also of course restaurants
(all-you-can-eat sushi?) all over the place.
