Hi, all,

I'm organising with Hedley to share some rides from Stellenbosch, since I'm carless on Friday. Anyone want to join in? We'll be going from Stellenbosch, not sure if we will go through Somerset West.

At this point, I'm driving on Thursday, Hedley on Friday. Still to sort out the other days, but I might need a ride on Saturday too.

Another point: I kinda volunteered the bakkie to transport the braai. Since I won't have the bakkie on Friday, we either need to get it through on Thursday, or make another plan. Gustav, any ideas?

Sorry ... I have told JC, but neglected to tell the group ... I am unable to attend the sprint ... some family ilness requires me to 'hang around' at home to assist ... so unfortunately I will only be watching from the sidelines ... :(

Sorry to hear that, Gustav. All the best with the family illness...

Hm, alternative braai ideas? I have a halfdrum that I can take through on Thursday already if there's place to store it until used...

I think we can keep it on the balcony in front of the Praekelt office.

Alex Hart has a weber and I have a small square braai in the garage. We
could also use those two.

@Gustav - sorry to hear that.

Regarding ride sharing:
I would like to know what would be the protocol for setting the return time.
I'm assuming we would drive there to be there when it starts in the am, but how late are you guys planning to stay sprinting each day?
For this reason I am contemplating driving solo but would also enjoy the ride share camaraderie :)
With ride sharing, it sort of means that people that still want to keep sprinting and people that want to go home are sort of tied together.

Regardless, I definitely want to drive through with my own car on Sat or Sunday (not sure yet) because I will need to take care of some admin in CT during the weekend.
Then I'm happy to give a lift in the am and take people back after the social event is over etc.

Re: Braai - I think JC needs to answer that, as he can find out if storage is possible with Praekelt people.

Johan, let me know if you need a lift on Saturday. I'll be driving from
S-West but not much further going through Stellenbosch.

OK, I have a plan:

The big braai is just too much. I'll bring my Weber in the bakkie tomorrow morning, and will fetch it again on Saturday, if it's OK with the Praekelt people.

I'll also provide a klaprooster, implements, firelighters and charcoal. Other than that it's a bring and braai, iirc?

Great! Thanks very much. Yes it's a bring and braai.
