edit page with link to internal private file

Hi,

one of my users wanted to edit a page. The thing is, another user added an internal link to a private file, to which the first user has no privileges.

Now when the first user tries to save his changes on the page (that contains the link to the private file) he gets "Insufficient Privileges".

I don't really understand the reason for this. Is this by design or is it a bug?

I am using plone 4.1
