There's not one I know of... although I think it would be great if someone
took the initiative to do such survey/study!
I can tell you attendance figures for the 2006 and 2007 Plone Conferences
(Seattle + Naples, Italy), though -- both had about 350 attendees. I expect
we'll have about the same number in Washington DC in October.

Others that would be interesting:
- census of Zope/Plone user groups
- list of all events/Plone days/sprints with attendance figures
- some infographics showing trends in e.g. sprints (how many people
attended sprints per year, how many sprints recur every year ..)
