Indexed word/pdf etc attachments

Hi peeps,

In a multi-tasking sort of way I've been playing with the plone site
again today, and slowly migrating the ExFiles out of 2.5 and into
3.1.1 (by ftping the lot of them out and back in again).

However, on my OS X setup, I'm not getting indexing. I've tried
installing some helper apps, but no way of working out how I get them
seen.

What is the Plone 3 way (as it is bound to be totally different to the
2.5 way....) of doing this? How can I get my pdfs and xls and docs to
be nicely index?
