Position      :      Silverlight Developer
Location     :      Boston, MA
Duration     :      3+ Months contract

 

Must-haves
4+ years experience with WPF and Silverlight development
4+ years of experience creating XAML for Silverlight
4+ years of experience in creating and styling 3rd party components (Infragistics/Telerik)
Experience building web based applications with XAML across Silverlight
Experience working in a User Interface department
1-2 years of experience working with MVVM (model view view model)
Knowledge of MS Expression Blend and Visual Studio 2010

Role
This group is responsible for revamping the entire active trading application for end clients. This XAML developer must be extremely professional, have great communication skills, and be very collaborative. He/she will take part in the analysis of the current XAML codebase and make recommendations for WPF and Silverlight compatibility. This developer will also be responsible for the production of the XAML code to the specification of the visual designer. More specifically, he/she will be responsible for analyzing the wireframe/documentation to determine what parts of the screen are simple vs complex controls. This candidate will work closely with the software engineers to agree on the UI or relevant controls as well as the field and data types of the ViewModel. This candidate will create the XAML components in Blend, extract reusable chunks into styles and templates, and bind to properties in the VM from the View.
