International language support

Hello, I've downloaded and installed Plans on our company's web server
for use in internal schedulling of meeting rooms and vehicles. The
software seems really great and I want to congrat the makers!

Now.. I've made the translation of the us_english.pl file to
portuguese (pt-BR) and I've noticed that there are some issues
envolving special characters. If I write an event with accentuation
like ç ã é á à etc.. when I view it on the calendar it's all written
with strange characters... Also the week days like Saturday (Sábado)
and Tuesday (Terça).. When you open plans they appear right, after
adding/updating an event they appear with strange characters.

Messages that appear on the top corner when you update events, login,
logout, etc also show incorrect characters...


Anyone knows whats the problem?

Is there a way do correct this?
