time of increased human awareness and commitment.

Participation April 12 in a promising Sustainable
Energy Round Table with many partners, held at
the SOLAR-powered training center of the
International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers
in Harriman and bringing together representatives
from the utilities, environmental community,
labor, planning and other stakeholders to begin
developing a road map for expanded renewable energy infrastructure.
The opportunity to assist with Ulster County’s
economic development emphasis on green
technologies through the new Ulster Tomorrow Consortium.

Cool Kingston citizen planning meeting, May 5, 10
a.m. At Muddycup, Broadway, Midtown Kingston –
followup to high-energy Global Warming Café on
April 14, which brought together great people and
groups including Mid-Hudson EnergySmart
Communities, Forsyth Nature Center, Our Community
Networks. This initiative will promote energy
conservation and renewables in the city plus
bikeways, community gardens, tree planting and
other neighborhood greening projects – and
encourage the City of Kingston to build on its
