Hi all.
How can I configure a spanish keyboard on p9p acme? The main problem
is that a can't type accents (á, ó, í, etc).

How can I type the character '~'?.

Which is the right mailing list for to ask these questions?

Cheers.

<compose> + ~ + n

See $PLAN9/lib/keyboard for more.

To add to the earlier reply, the compose key is Alt
and is not held down while typing the other characters.
You type Alt, ', a -- three separate keystrokes.

You don't say what OS you are using.
If there is a standard way to type these characters in
that OS (either OS X key combinations or X11 input
sequences) then those should work too.

Thanks, but the problem is that I am using a spanish keyboard an It is
not working properly. I already have a key ñ but in my keyboard I
don't have the '~' key (we use 'Alt Gr' + '4' for to type '~') and
I can't type ^ , the "Alt Gr" is not working etc. How can I configure
the spanish keyboard for to use acme or sam?

I am using Ubuntu and the keyboard is working fine in X.

X11 input sequences are not working.

I am afraid I don't know much about non-English keyboards.
The relevant X11 code is in $PLAN9/src/cmd/devdraw/x11-*.c
and I will try to find someone who does know more.

Please read this thread:

Probably is the same problem, in keysym2ucs-x11.c.
