Problem with drop box opening file

When opening a file from Plain Text, Why do I have the error message:
document cannot be opened file type is not currently supported? How
do I correct this problem?

Hi! Could you be more specific? Are you opening a file created in PlainText in another app (and if so, how and what)?

Alternatively, are you trying to open another file in PlainText? What kind? PlainText only works with, well, plan text formats. Not rich text formats like .rtf or .doc.
