Victoria. Victoria plans to adopt similar guidelines when it introduces new road rules next month. Under the new laws, drivers will able to use a wireless device or mobile phone to make or receive calls using a hands-free attachment. However, unlike NSW, the VicRoads Web site explicitly forbids the use of GPS navigation on smartphones, even if the device is mounted in the car.
