Job Title: Business/QA Analyst, Expert
Location: Tallahassee, FL
Duration: 12 Months
Direct Client Position
Tasks:
• Works closely with the Manager and Coordinator to review all application maintenance requests, including working with the customers to correctly scope/size the request
• Coordinates with the Coordinator to draft/assess maintenance requests and to identify the correct resource(s) required and to estimate the effort associated with the requests
• Conduct internal audits to measure and assure adherence to established QA standards for software development, application integration, and information system performance, and corresponding documentation
• Create and execute test plans and scripts that will determine optimal application performance according to specifications
• Meet with decision makers, systems owners, and end users to define business, financial, and operations requirements and systems goals, and identify and resolve systems issues
• Review and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems and develop strategies for improving or further leveraging these systems.
Required:
• 5+ experience as a business analyst on software development/maintenance projects
• Ability to effectively communicate with both technical and business resources and to translate business needs into effective technical specifications
• Proven experience in overseeing the design, development, and implementation of software and hardware solutions, systems, or products
• Ability to conduct research into application development issues and products.
• Experience in Quality Control, Testing, and/or Validation of large-scale software development projects
• Direct hands-on experience with ad hoc query programs, automated testing tools, and reporting software
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Excellent listening and interpersonal skills
• Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language
• Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
• Strong customer service orientation
• Keen attention to detail
