Application Maintenance Services Coordinator
Tasks:
• Works with the Application Maintenance Services (AMS) Manager to provide day-to-day work operations oversight and coordination for an AMS team providing ongoing maintenance and support for approximately 80 agency business applications
• Serves as the primary contact for all service/maintenance requests
• Work closely with the AMS Manager to ensure work assignments are assigned to the appropriate team member (s) and that service levels are met
• Works with the AMS manager in establishing and implementing team policies, standards, processes and procedures
• Assists the manager in monitoring teams work load and performance
• Develop and continually assess for improvement workflow and communications processes
• Coordinator to refine availability requirements, staffing policies and to secure the technical resources needed by the team
• Assists the AMS Manager to ensure service/maintenance requests milestones are met in a timely manner.
Experience:
Required:
• 5+ years experience in managing large application maintenance activities
• 5+ years experience in IT project management, managing multiple IT projects concurrently
• Ability to conduct research into application development issues and products
• In-depth knowledge of the principles, theories, practices and techniques for managing the activities related to planning, managing and implementing software projects and programs
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Excellent listening and interpersonal skills
• Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language
• Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
• Strong customer service orientation.
Preferred:
• 5+ years experience managing application development and/or support projects within a technical environment similar to client’s
• Excellent understanding of the goals and objectives of an enterprise Information Technology Application Maintenance Unit supporting an environmental regulatory agency
• Familiarity with Agile development practices, specifically SCRUM.
