Hi folks,
Some fun stuff coming up soon.
Tomorrow morning, be sure to listen to the show (7-9 on 93.9 The
River, 8-10 on 103.3 Valley Free Radio). We've got brand new world
premiere music from Frances England, new (maybe premiere?) music from
Ralph's World, and a ton of other great stuff.
It's our first week with our sponsor for the River show, The Toy Box
in Amherst. That doesn't change anything about the content of the
show, but over the next couple of weeks they'll be stocking even more
great kids' music on the "Spare the Rock Rack." More on that to
come. It's a great toy store; I can't believe how much fun stuff they
fit in there.
Tomorrow afternoon, Maria Sangiolo is playing a show out in
Pittsfield. It's an Earth Day show at 2:00 at the Berkshire Museum.
We enjoyed having her on the show a month or so back and hope a lot of
people can make it to her show. www.mariasangiolo.com
Tuesday night, be sure to listen to our friends at the Hilltown Family
Variety Show (www.hilltownfamilies.org) on 103.3 Valley Free Radio.
Starting May 3, we're going to move our show on VFR to 7 to 9 on
Saturday mornings so that the Hilltown Families folks can expand to a
full hour and be on from 9 to 10.
Next Thursday, local heroes The Pop Rockets are playing at the Holyoke
Children's Museum. They'll be on our show on April 26, too.

And then, most importantly (and I'll probably send a reminder next
week too), Brady Rymer and the Little Band that Could, next Friday at
5:00 at Lyman Hall, First Churches, 129 Main St., Northampton. You
can read more about the show, which we're presenting with
HilltownFamilies.org, at:
http://sparetherock.com/2008/04/details-about-brady-rymer-show.html
It's a potluck, but come even if you don't have a chance to bring
food. We'll have a tray of macaroni & cheese from Cup & Top Cafe in
Florence (thanks, Helen!) and maybe some other donations as well as
food folks are bringing. It's just $7 for kids and adults; infants
are free. You can check out www.bradyrymer.com for more about Brady
and to listen to some of his music.
Other stuff coming up to mark your calendar:
May 10 - Aric Bieganek CD release party at Cup & Top, free (he'll be
on our show on May 3)
May 18 - Nields benefit for Safe Passage, presented by 93.9 The River
and hosted by me
May 31 - Dog on Fleas at Cup & Top, free
July 12 - Sippy Cups at Pearl Street, go to www.iheg.com for tickets
(this will rawk)
All right, I think that's it. Listen tomorrow, have fun, and see you
at the Brady Rymer show next Friday.
Rock,
Bill & Ella & sometimes Liam
