Description: Pine is an HTML 5 gaming environment for Raspberry Pi.

Installing QEMU on OS X
Hi Tristan, I've been trying to dig up some information about QEMU on OSX but unfortunately I'm not at all familiar with the platform; I've CC'd the group here in hopes that someone more familiar with OSX will be able to help. Generally speaking, most of the development to-date has been happening under Ubuntu.... more »

Quick update
Sorry for the delay. I did find an old Pine image that works, but it has some issues. I was about to start work on manual build docs when it occurred to me that I hadn't checked for any potential finds regarding running Raspbian in qemu in several months... I'm happy to report that the critical issues with auto-pine are now... more »

Transferring ownership
Hey guys, You may have noticed that my contributions to Pine have been slowing down lately. The truth is, my own interest in the project has been waning. That's not to say I don't think it is a valuable project, I'm just losing interest in investing the time and energy into actually building it.... more »

Marshmallow Entertainment System
We are not alone: [link] It's not the same stack as Pine, but MES is indeed a game system built for the Raspberry Pi. Very cool.

Udacity offerning a free HTML5 GameDev course in 2013
I think this'll be of interest to Pine devs: < [link]> I for one have enrolled =D -- Scott Elcomb @psema4 on Twitter / Identi.ca / Github & more Atomic OS: Self Contained Microsystems [link] Member of the Pirate Party of Canada... more »

Package metadata
I just pushed an update to dev-server.js<[link]>- it now traverses all packages and builds the main menu from metadata files. I created a pretty simple convention: A Pine package must have pine-package.json in its root directory, and it should look like this<[link]>.... more »

Switched to Express
This is not a huge change, but one that some people might find interesting. Pine is now an Express app<[link]>. RIght now I'm using it to serve static files, but I switched over because I'm planning to serve up static content for the Pine UI.... more »

Node Knockout
Hi all, A note for anyone who might be interested... Registration for this years Node Knockout competition ends tomorrow and there are (currently) 13 spots remaining. I registered a team ("NorthernNode") earlier today because I managed to completely forget about it. :S What I'd like to work on is a simple game creation tool. It's something... more »

Bringing things together
Hi all, So I finally got around to testing turbo mode on the Pi this past weekend and to reviewing Jeremy's input-event-daemon additions (which now merged into master). Rather than muck around with the previous Raspbian release that we were using, I opted to update to the latest version which has support... more »

Rapsberry Pi userland open sourced
[link] [link] Not sure how we can directly use this, but it looks like this opens the door to better GPU utilization.
