[Installing Pinax]

I get the following error message:

python scripts/pinax-boot.py ../penv
New python executable in ../penv/bin/python
ERROR: The executable ../penv/bin/python is not functioning
ERROR: It thinks sys.prefix is '/System/Library/Frameworks/
Python.framework/Versions/2.6' (should be '/usr/local/src/penv')
ERROR: virtualenv is not compatible with this system or executable

I've been searching the virtual env forums to find a solution (such as

It seems that pinax already applied some patch one of those threads
recommended. Yet, I can't find a solution that works.

So, I can't get Pinax up and running on Snow Leopard 10.6 (which is my
main development machine).

Please suggest how I can correct this to install Snow Leopard 10.6.
